Laura, sorry to hear about the passing of your dad. What a great guy, I always enjoyed the time I got to spend around him and he clearly enjoyed the time he got to spend with you girls at your special events, and even the normal ones. Bob Stevens

Tom was a beautiful person and we feel privileged to have known him.
I loved his message on the answering machine signing off with "And have a nice day".

My sympathy goes out to the entire Hardy family. "Poppa Hardy", as he was known to me, was a part of my life for over 40 years!! The last time I spoke with him, was his birthday! He always welcomed my call! I still remember him from MANY years ago saying, "you girls quiet down, it's bedtime"! He always had a smile and kind words were always spoken. I will cherish his memory.

From the family of Earl Stitt;
Tom and Earl loved to phone each other with jokes. We remember the time Tom really pulled one over on Earl. Tom called Earl and said, "Hey Earl. Guess where I am! I am calling you from the airplane flying down to Flordia" (this was before cell phones) Earl was so impressed to get a call from an airplane that he talked about it for weeks. Later he found out Tom wasn't in a airplane at all. He had been sitting in his easy chair when the call was made and had set up a fan to make airplane noise. They were quite a pair. We are very said to hear of his passing but know that the angels are probably laughing with Tom and Earl.

Laura, Pat & Alan, Tom, and Ursula, It is hard for us to believe that Tom is gone. We are so happy that we were able to see him on our visit to Florida in November. Uncle Tom always seemed so upbeat and happy; we all could take this away and use it in our lives. We will be there with you in spirit on Saturday. Love, John, Ann-Marie,Ian & Bill

Laura,

My father passed in 2009 and I think of him nearly every day. I can only image the grief that you and Ashley are feeling. I remember his 80th birthday, what a fine charter. I remember his fall on his bike and I thought how fortunate I would be if I could still ride at that age. The world looses a great treasure with each passing. We all must realize our blessings to have known them. I will send you a poem that I wrote on one such passing. May you find solace.
